Windows Defender — add exclusion or leave it?

Loader got flagged once, restored from quarantine, still works. Read mixed advice about exclusions making things worse.

What do you do on a clean Win 11 install for Battlefield 6 sessions?

Exclude the loader folder only, not entire drive. Download from official panel each update.

Never excluded, just restore + allow. Zero issues 6 weeks.

Trying no exclusion first. Folder whitelist if it acts up again.

Virtual machine for testing, real rig for play. Overkill but safe.
